The Giants announce Brian Daboll as their new Head Coach

The New York Giants announced that former Buffalo Bills Offensive Coordinator Brian Daboll would be their new Head Coach. This is coming off the heels of the firing of Head Coach Joe Judge.

Judge, a former Special Teams Coach, was hyped by Head coaches Bill Belichick and Nick Saban. Judge’s success, however, never materialized. He was 6 -10 in his first year and 4 – 13 in his second year prompting the Giants front office, which should have never hired him, to give him a swift kick in the ass and off the team. Daboll, however, is a better and justifiable hiring.

Daboll has been in the game of Football since 1997. He made his way to the NFL and served with the New England Patriots (on two occasions), Jets, Browns, Dolphins, back to college with Alabama and then back to the NFL with the Buffalo Bills.

Since his time with the Bills (2018), Buffalo has gone from 23rd to 2nd in scoring. The Bills rated the Playoffs twice during his tenure and most recently lost to the Kansas City Chiefs due to a coin toss. It’s safe to say that Daboll is what the Giants need.

The Giants have not won more than 6 games since 2016. In fact the Giants haven’t finished 1st in their conference since 2011. Daboll is said to be joining the Giants with QB coach, future OC Ken Dorsey (unconfirmed) and OL coach Bobby Johnson (per Michael Silver).

What do you think? Does Daboll turn around the G Men? Or do they fall further into mediocrity?
