Taysom Hill?
What exactly will Taysom do for the Saints?
Reports have stated that the New Orlean Saints want to move on to Hill and they want Drew Brees to pass the torch.
Taysom Hill, already 29 years old, has spent three years in the NFL and has done everything expect start at QB. Now, that’s no knock on Hill but what makes the Saints so confident that he’ll be the guy?
Hill has caught more passes for a touchdown (6, regular season) than he’s thrown (0, 2019). He’s athletic yes, but taking the reigns of a team with the hottest offense is…peculiar.
Hill spent 5 years at Bringham Young and had compiled 6929 yards, 43 touchdowns and 31 interceptions. His senior season he had 2323 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions…not too impressive.
But there is something Taysom did do very well, and that’s everything else; he showed great athleticism catching and out running DB’s but the Saints believe he’ll be a franchise quarterback.
Maybe the Saints will implement the RPO; perhaps, this is the Saints evolving and getting ahead of the “No more statue QBs” movement.
