Who would you choose Jameis Winston or Philip Rivers?

There have been rumors (again) circulating that Philip Rivers is going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With Jameis Winston (in my opinion not the best scenario) entering free agency it kind of makes room for those rumors to become fact.

Rivers is 38 years old with a career 64.7 comp percentage, 59,271 yards, 391 TDS, 198 Ints. Just in the 2019, Rivers had a 66.0 completion percentage, 4,615 yards, 23 TDS, and 20 Ints. He has also thrown for 300 yards 8x. Not bad for an old guy.

Still, it isn’t easy leaving an organization after 16 years and starting anew elsewhere.

Rivers, in my opinion, will retire…you all disagree. Out of 700 voters in my Instagram story poll, over 60% said Rivers was not going to retire. Time will tell, but in the mean time who’d you choose?

As said before, Jameis Winston is entering free agency. Winston has a 60.7 comp %, 5,109 yards, 33 TDS and 30 interceptions.

The fact that Winston has thrown for 5000 + yards and 30 + Tds means he has the ability. Now, peering over the Tampa Bay Bucc’s stats, I found the defense and rushing game were their weak points (besides the 30 Ints). Had the Buccs worked on those weak spots, perhaps they could stomach Winston for a bit longer.

These mitigating factors could have thrusted the Buccs into the playoffs (ehh maybe). The Buccaneers have chosen to go elsewhere. Where will Winston go? #theawfulsportsnews
