The LSU Fighting Tigers defeat the Clemson Tigers 42-25 becoming the kings of the jungle.

This game was highly touted as a possible College Football National Chamipionship game of the decade. Two 14 win and 0 loss teams who had offenses and defenses comparable to one another were set to battle it out to be the head of the jungle (College Football National Championship). Clemson, Coached by Former National Champion Dabo Sweeney, with Trevor Lawrence, former champion as well, at the helm were looking to again capture a national championship. All that stood in their way was Coach Ed Orgeron and Heisman winner Joe Burrow.

The Clemson Tigers were the first Strike.

1st Quarter:

  • Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence completed a pass to B. Galloway. Galloway takes it to the LSU 25 (42 yards). Personal foul on T. Higgins for 15 yards
  • Lawrence to LSU 31 for 9 yards.
  • Lawrence to Higgins for 19 yards. An illegal use of hands to the face by NT Siaki Ika pushes Clemson to the LSU’s 12
  • Travis Etienne to LSU’s 1 for 5 yards
  • Lawrence punches it in for 6 with the extra point made by B. Porter

This was a very interesting game in that many of the players-playing and on the sideline will be declaring for the NFL. Joe Burrow, the man of the night, has the best QB season ever in history: a Heisman, 65 touchdown season record, and many other awards.

Joe Burrow can undoubtedly look forward to being chosen by the Cincinnati Bengals as the number 1 NFL draft pick. God bless his soul.
