The New York Jets hold on to beat the Dallas Cowboys.
The Jets pulled out an astonishing win against the once red-hot Dallas Cowboys 24 – 22. This was no regular game as it was the resurgence of once seriously ill QB Sam Darnold. Immediately out the gate, Darnold stood firm in the pocket—throwing dart after to dart to his receivers. Darnold would end the game with 23/32 passing, 338 yards passing, 2 TD, 2 Int. His most notable play would be a passing play to Robby Anderson that went for 92 yards.
Darnold spread the ball out to multiple receivers (most notable):
- Robby Anderson: 5 Rec, 125 yards, 1 TD.
- Jamison Crowder: 6 Red, 98 yards.
- Demaryius Thomas: 4 Rec, 62 yards.
- Ryan Griffin: 3 Rec, 28 yards.
Defense:
The Jets defense maintained despite the Cowboys’ 26 first downs and 10-17 in 3rd down conversions. The New York Jets defense wasn’t sexy but managed to get 1 sack on Dak Prescott (1 sack for 8 yards, Jamal Adams*).
Dak and Zeke
Dak Prescott in the loss was 28/40, 277 yards, 1 TD.
Ezekiel Elliott rushed on 28 attempts for 105 yards and 47 yards receiving.
The New York Jets will go on to play the New England Patriots for a game of Monday Night Football. We’ll be back to chat shortly after the game. Go Jets!
