Josh Allen still in concussion protocol

The Buffalo Bills are preparing for this week’s game against the Tennessee Titans as if Matt Barkley will be the starting quarterback.

Bills coach Sean McDermott said Allen still remains in concussion protocol and will remain so until he is cleared by an independent neurologist.

Allen was pulled from Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots after receiving a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit by Patriots’ cornerback Jonathan Jones.

Jones was not flagged, ejected, or fined for the hit.

Barkley threw for 127 yards and an interception in the loss, but has only one win in his last six starts.
