The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Wednesday that cornerback Jalen Ramsey continues to sit out practice due to a lingering back injury.
Ramsey’s back injury was reported earlier last week and since then has not participated in the team’s practices or game on Sunday.
My take: As adamant as Ramsey has been in wanting out of Jacksonville, the organization appears reluctant to trade him, reportedly turning down an offer consisting of two first-round picks for Ramsey.
Given the circumstances surrounding Ramsey, it could be me, but it seems a liiitle fishy the “back injury” pops up after he requests a trade. I believe it’s most likely a ploy by Ramsey to force the hand of Jacksonville to trade him, but neither side appears ready to budge.
With the Jaguars stringing off two-straight victories to get back to .500 on the year, the organization believes Ramsey could reconsider his trade request and return to the field for the Jaguars.
However, I highly doubt that it is gonna happen.
