Miami Dolphins: The Drain Remains Unplugged.

Another Loss—The Miami Dolphins loose yet a again, this time, against the Dallas Cowboys. Dolphins new starter QB Josh Rosen would look to turn around their crumbling season and solidify a chance to at least reach a .500 record. This, unfortunately, as Rosen would see, would be easier imagined than done.

The Good, The Bad, and The Awful.

Last Sunday the Dolphins traveled to Arlington Texas to face the Dallas Cowboys in AT&T Stadium. Dallas, right out the gate, pushed the ball downfield with Dak Prescott focusing in on Amari Cooper. The Dolphins could barley get close to Dak as the Cowboys mixed and match their pass and runs. There was also no answer for running backs Ezekiel Elliott or Tony Pollard who ran wild.

The Dolphins’ Josh Rosen made good reads in the first half, but the Dolphins offense couldn’t make a dent on the Cowboys who were doing so well that Dak started getting greedy with overthrown passes down the middle.

The gap between the Dolphins and the Cowboys (6-17) began to quickly widen and it was all she wrote.

Josh Rosen started to get swallowed up and harrassed by DI Robert Quinn all night and Dak was so well protected in the pocket that he could brew a fresh batch of coffee after every snap. The Dolphins would ultimately fall to the Cowboys 31-6 adding to an already terrible start to their season.

Josh Rosen

Josh Rosen finished the game 18/39, 200 yards, and 0 touchdowns. Awful.

My Take

Josh Rosen looked decent in first half but his offensive line and defense showed him no favors. Rosen is not without fault either; he, at times, couldn’t feel the pressure, had bad feet in the pocket, and did not step up in the pocket. The Dolphins are clearly in, “Tank mode,” and not being able to execute will make certain that he’s on another time by seasons end.
