Joe Burrow, quarterback of the LSU Tigers is having a phenomenal season. As of now, Burrow is 75/90 for 1122 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions with a completion percentage of 83.3%!!! Which, compared to last year was only 57.8! So how is this possible?

Well the LSU Tigers are 3-0 and headed by coach Ed Orgeron whose last three years have been over .500 Pct : 2016: .667. 2017: .692. 2018: .769.
Coach Orgeron (.550 % win) has also led them to 2 Citrus Bowls and 1 Fiesta Bowl (2-1) (Pro Football-Reference.com). What’s more important is that Coach Orgeron has brought the spread offense to a once heavy-laden run and punish team. This has allowed more wide receivers to get into the mix and work with the ball in space.
In the win against the Texas Longhorns (45-38) Joe Burrow was 31/39 passed for 471 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 1 interception with QBR of 88.6! In this hard-fought game, Burrow managed to get three different receivers over 100 yards catching:
J. Jefferson: 9 rec, 163 yards.
J. Chase: 8 rec, 147 yards.
T. Marshall Jr.: 6 rec, 123 yards.

Now, the Tigers (3-0) facing Vanderbilt (0-2) (who they are favorites to beat). At Vanderbilt’s weekly press conference, coach Derek Mason said “Joe Burrow’s footwork reminds you of Drew Brees,” as reported by SBNation’s Tom Stephenson.
