The NFL has had many story lines so far this season from the ongoing Antonio Brown fiasco to the unnamed Dolphins’ players who demanded a trade after their devastating blowout. One very interesting story that is still in the foreforent is the case of Kyler Murray
Is he Playoff bound?
Well you do remember this right guy right? 3,118 yards on 393 attempts, 26 passing touchdowns during his rookie season? Well, that’s Russell Wilson. The guy Kyler Murray has been compared to since college.
Now Kyler has the opportunity to meet or exceeed the expectations of the shorter quarterback.
So far, Kyler is looking, “Ok.” In his come back tie versus the Lions, he definitely showed his Heisman quick ability and amazing throws on the run . But is he playoff bound?
My take:
- Kyler Murray still has the height issue, which isn’t the end all be all. This issue, however, requires him to be out of the pocket and on the move. “Where he is shorter, he must be nimble.”
- Kyler for the love of God! Step up into the pocket!!! Stepping up in the pocket is something I rarely see this young whipper snapper do. That coupled with his height gives him a disadvantage when he’s deep in the pocket. Step up son!
Kyler for the love of God! Step up into the pocket!!!

In closing:
Kyler Murray isn’t playoff bound but he is definitely capable going 7-9 this season, which isn’t too bad for a rookie! Look for big yardage with the wideout core he has and just know this is only the beginning!
